Protect
Care for forests, springs and soils, and gradually expand protected areas.

A responsibility across generations
We inherit an Earth shaped by those who came before us. It is now our turn to choose what we will pass on. Pachatopia turns this responsibility into concrete action: protecting life, regenerating territories, creating dignified jobs and strengthening the conditions for peace.
What your support makes possible
In San Carlos, Antioquia, Colombia, we aim to protect more forest, transform our farming practices and create more stable local jobs.
Care for forests, springs and soils, and gradually expand protected areas.
Support around 40 hectares in their transition towards agroforestry: mainly coffee, alongside cacao, food crops and some pasture.
Support everyday work on the land and create more dignified, stable jobs for local people.
The areas shown are estimates. Precise measurements by a land surveyor are still to be carried out.

Not by seeking to dominate nature, but by learning again how to live with it. Regenerating the Earth also means regenerating our relationships, our economy and the way we pass things on. Planting a tree then becomes an act of peace, trust and hope.
Pachatopia regenerates the ecological, human, economic and cultural conditions of life so that peace can take root again.

In San Carlos, Colombia, we seek to give this a concrete form: caring for the land, growing with the living world and nurturing peace.

Pachatopia is not limited to a farm, a harvest or a person. Our ambition is to build, protect and pass on a living heritage over the long term, between Colombia, France, Switzerland and every territory where this vision may take root.
Forests, water, soils, biodiversity and the natural capacity for regeneration.
Agroforestry crops, food autonomy and processing tools.
Dignified jobs, trust, cooperation and lasting peace between people.
Knowledge, experiments, stories, methods and the memory of the territory.
Governance, transparency and rules capable of protecting the mission over the long term.

One shared direction
We seek to act like an ecosystem: each function nourishes the others, and none can endure alone.
Preserve forests, springs, soils and the spaces where life can freely continue its work.
Reintroduce trees and biodiversity into crops, restore fertility and produce with the living world.
Circulate knowledge, document learning and prepare future generations to care for the heritage they receive.
Reweave ties between the land, producers, citizens and territories once marked by conflict.

The living laboratory
In San Carlos, the team cares for crops, protects forest areas, prepares biological fertilisers, experiments with agroforestry systems and develops an economy that can support families without exhausting the land.
The territory bears the wounds of armed conflict, but also an immense capacity for resilience. Making peace with the Earth and sustaining peace between people are one and the same endeavour here.

Without dignified work, people may be forced to take ever more from the forest. Crops fund jobs and the transition. The forest provides the water, fertility, microorganisms and balance that make these crops possible.

We want to develop an application to track crops and their transition to agroforestry. Its development still needs funding. In the meantime, you can support work on the ground with a donation of your choice.

Preserving a living heritage means thinking of the generations to come without forgetting those who came before us. We honour the memory of those who defended freedom, endured war or exile, and rebuilt a life for their children. Honouring their memory does not mean prolonging conflicts: it means building a world in which fewer people are forced to experience violence.

Our story
Pachatopia was not born from a perfectly established plan. It grew from encounters, plots of land, trees, producers, volunteers, mistakes and lessons learned. Little by little, a farm became a living laboratory, then the beginning of an institution to be passed on.
